No problem. Got two more reviews to go. . .Just been very busy recently, but I do plan to actually be back this time.
I'm a big fan of Gibson too. (His writing has very much influenced my novel writing, especially his technique of making a plot out of many subplots that he links together at the end. But, I ahve tended to be disappointed with movie versions of his stories. I didnt' even bother with Johnny Mnemonic, after I heard how much was taken out. Granted, I didn't expect a mainstream movie to have kept the main villan's password as it was, but I knew they couldn't keep the heroin addicted dolphin either. (Which I'm sorry, but you can't do Johnny Mnemonic without the junkie dolphin.) Turns out just about teh rest of hte movie was taken out as well.
I don't think I would have even tried New Rose Hotel, except that Christopher Walken was in it. "Fragments of a Hologram Rose" is probably just about impossible ot make into a movie. IF they would, though, I'd to see a movie made with three shorts, if they're going to do another Gibson movie. Maybe "The Belonging Kind" (more horror than cyberpunk, but a great one) "The Winter Market" (heartbreaking) and "Burning Chrome." (give 'em a good, straight ahead cyberpunk romp)
