Music Subscription Service

You know, a subscriptipon music service on paper is a great idea. You tell the computer what music groups and songs you like and it plays them and a whole lot of other things that may interest you based onyour selections. The problem with this idea is that it rarely plays any music you really want to hear. I have a pandora subscription that I use when I am at work since ipods are not allowed in the office (I bring mine anyway) and ocassionally it plays a song from the dozens of things I have listed as music I like. It does a really great job of playing music I may like based off my selection but it mostly plays a lot of music I could care less about (hence my willfully breaking the no electronics in the office rule). It really is radio 2.0 since it does play an ad every four or five songs. To be able to skip all the ads and music you don't want to hear you have to pay. To skip the music you don't want to hear you are allowed a couple per hour and any more than that you have to pay as I mentioned earlier. My iPod however is filled with nothing but music I want to hear, no ads, the ability to skip any song I am not in the mood for, and has my entire music collection on it for easy use. Why would I pay for a music subscription? I would more willingly pay to have my collection streamed from my home to anywhere I am but since I am more computer capable than some, I can do that for free. But that service would work immensely better for the less technically inclined so I am wondering why it has not happened yet? I bought more than 40 cd's last year and a few items from itunes. I spent about 2-300 bucks on music, a small price considering how much money I spent on leisure in total last year. I don't pay for advertisement or things I don't want.
