SDCC blog, day #0...
So it's Wednesday at San Diego, it's almost noon and already I'm in a bar with Andie Tong, Harry Markos, Sean Dulaney and New friend Susan Stauff. Ben Templesmith and Lorelie have already left for LA and Colin Baker has popped by. Such is the way of San Diego.
But getting here was fun. Waking at 6am and making my way to the airport for a 10am flight - ten hours of Chuck episodes and then we arrived at Dallas.
We had a delay here for an hour and a half - but that was actually a good thing as AT & T screwed upthe APN settings on my Iphone and I spent close to an hour on the phone sorting it out, eventually having to buy airport internet minutes to log onto unlockit to change the APN online. But it worked, and I'm using the Iphone to send this.
From the airport we went to the hotel and checked in, I showered and then Harry and I made our way to Ben & Lorelie Templesmith's pre-SDCC party, where I caught up with too many people to even consider trying to mention here, but the evening was a night of awesomeness with people including Rich Johnston, Will Christiensen and The Avatar boys, Darick Robertson, Nick Barrucci, the IDW crew, Ben McCool and Heidi MacDonald, Jimmy Aquino, John Cassaday and Nikki Cook among others...
Party ended at 3am, give or take and I staggered home to bed, to awake this morning for a 9.30am breakfast...
