Much Better, Thanks!

Turns out my internet connection was not fixed by Telstra, but by the nature of the net. It's a far more forgiving signal than a phone line is. So while I thought I needed a new handset, it was that the connection was actually still down. But enough signal was getting through for the miracle that is the internet to still function.

Thus I was surprised when the technician knocked on my door this morning. But he had the phone up and running within an hour, so I'm not unhappy.

Oh, and my insides are functioning in the correct direction at the correct speed again.

All in all, a pleasant Monday morning - at least compared to my weekend!
