The most Undesirable Song in the World, as determined by statistical analysis.

A few thoughts occur to me:

1) The worst song ever sounds a lot like my brother's college radio show, The Nagoya Mathematical Journal (the only reference to which I could find in 15 seconds of searching is here). I don't think this equates to a positive review of the ( Read more... )

Editing this comment after listening to both--yeah, we listened to a full five minutes of the undesirable song and would have been open to more, but had to skip forward after about 30 seconds of the bad R&B duet.

I gave it a try, as well...

I got to the cacophony of bagpipes with over and under tones of... stuff?... And I gave in and closed it. This was about the six minute mark.

During my listening I did physically cringe at least 3 times at the abrupt changes in pitch/tone/etc...

I may try it again later where I left off.

Purely for it's title and theory I want to like it... But they may have been artistically too spot-on for this to work for me.

(Haven't listened to the "most wanted" yet -- but I expect it to be generically pleasing.)

Yeah. I am rather reminded of our early shows (though with a bit less Nazi propaganda and spoken word). Lots and lots of random... well, crap, assaulting the audience. Since it was 3-6 am (or some other god awful time), we generally wanted to hurt the audience via the radio ether. It was a weird time.

I've found a few other references to the group online, one in our later incarnation, Tropic, in which I am referred to by name... as "Shawn P. Welch".
