WooooooHoooooo!!!!

Goooood morning everyone!

Today is a Good Day. I'm feeling better - got some great sleep (almost 7 hours straight!) and even woke up before the alarm went off, feeling fairly refreshed. Yay!

Rick and my BIL got the van running yesterday. Still have a couple things to do with it, but the major parts (tune-up, gas leak, heater) have been done. So it's actually *safe* to drive now. Just need to get the muffler replaced and the windshield replaced. We have a coupon for a free oil change and lifetime warranty on the tires, so this week we can get that stuff fixed (leak around the rims of the tires). Overall, it's not bad for a tank that we got for free. :)

Rick did have his job interview yesterday. The interview was at 3pm. By 5:15 I still hadn't heard back from him. He had my cell, but wasn't answering. I called the company, but their phones were closed. At 5:20 he finally called me. Turns out he got there, and the guy pulled up a truck and asked if he was ready to go. Rick hadn't brought a coat, and it was drizzly and wet, so the interviewer just laughed and told him "I guess you're gonna get wet!" Rick did the vehicle inspection and a driving test. The person interviewing him has over 30 years of experience driving, and was quite impressed. They're running Rick's MVR to confirm that his record's clean, he has a drug test next Wednesday, and then will have to get another physical. They want him to start on the 9th!!!! They'll be keeping him "on a short leash" for the start, having him work with other drivers and paying him an hourly wage that's double what he'd get starting at a factory somewhere. And the guy there told him to expect long hours - 14 hour days won't be uncommon. Then, when they're satisfied that he's ready to go, they'll send him over the road. And this company only does out for the week, home weekends, which was what DH's long-term goal was.

We are VERY excited about this. :D

I'm not going to stop working early, b/c we need the money so desperately now. And with my schedule, the only one who ends up in daycare is Amber, which isn't expensive only 3 days a week for a few weeks.

Things are really falling into place right now. I've been praying every day for things to work out, and then saying a prayer of thanks every time something goes right... I'm just so grateful for everything we've been able to do these past few months. I even talked to our landlord last night, and he told me he hadn't planned on charging us any of the late fees we thought we still owed him. We haven't paid for this month at all, but had already explained the situation to him. He asked if I was going back to work after this job is done, and I told him that I'm actually due to have a baby on Feb 8th. He didn't know that. LOL! It just never came up before. Anyhow, he's fine with how things are going, and happy for DH, and has no problem working with us while we get caught up with everything as long as we keep him up to date. So that's another incredible blessing.

And now I don't feel so worried about the baby coming. I was horribly depressed the other night b/c everything was up in the air, and I just didn't know how we were going to survive. Now I know things will be fine. :)
