Is Tom Willis the priest? A White Witch??? wow - sounds like things have been busy - i nearly lost my mind (literally) this holiday season and to have all of ^^^this to cope with would have sent me over the edge - what is so intriguing is the swishing fabric - a lady in period dress? hmmm - maybe the presence of another person (your sister) added to the energy?

well hopefully 2010 will bring some resolution into this, or at the very least, some insight

Tom Willis is the priest who is trying to find someone, or more like persuade someone to come here, don't think he's having much luck ! It was a white witch who sugguested the blessing, which if that bumping was a sign, is it pissed or is it a waste of time ? I think the stress of the holiday, and my sister being here has charged it up a lot.
The swishing material theory is a good one, a ladies dress, my mother thought a monk's habit, but that wouldn't swish .
I'm keeping a record of all this, but I hope this year does bring a resolution or an insight, it would be interesting to find out, who or what is here, frightening though it might be.

I found this person online, well my sister found the web page, normally I'd take that with a pinch of salt, because I don't trust people who just come up with something online like that. But it's similar to a blessing a genuine witch told me a few years back. He was a witch but also believed in Christian rites, and though he was based in America, he found a medium in Liverpool to help. She did offer to come but when I spoke to on the phone, something in here went berserk, walking up and down giving me the death stare. She said here was causing us a great deal of misery, and it would take a lot of shifting but she could do it . Unfortnately she bottled out and didn't answer the phone again !!!! Maybe I should contact him again.

well the fact that all of these people bail at the last second makes me think that they are shams and that YOU have the real deal in your house!!! why can't Tom the Priest come by? too far away?

It is too far away, and not in his diocise, some priestly law states you can't if the house isn't in the priest's area. Also he is in his seventies now and has a heart condition, maybe not a good idea, perhaps ? !!!

I know a very nice Catholic lady, originally from Dublin, who is a regulat church goer, on her say so I approached the priest at her church, he agreed to come round until I told him where our house was, he went white and said he'd be in touch !!
I am seriously trying to make some sense out of all this and put it in book form, and why not for F**k's sake !!!!

Mrs. V - from what you have said about your locale its reputation must precede it by leaps and bounds!!!!! is there a town council or neighborhood association or some sort of neighbor-group thing wherein people can get together and talk about stuff relating to the neighborhood? i know hauntings are esoteric and can put people off but this is crazy that the experts won't go near the place!!!

can we say movie script?????

i jest but i don't know how you have endured this plus the rejection of those who claim to know what to do - thank goodness for slashy fun and ebay right ???? i wish i could help :(

The area has a reputation, even as far away as Stockport, where my sister works ( the next town ) somebody told her they'd never live on our estate, as there was a plague pit beneath it ( which is true ) !
The nice Catholic lady I told, said an elderly neigbour who lived three doors from us saw the same monk figure in her house, she's now dead, so we can't compare notes !
But when we first moved here, two workmen were too terrified to stay alone in the house, my mother's district nurse said,
" Oh my god, this is the house ! "
Passers by would point,
" Look it's that house, "
and the council who own it admit it has a " history ".
I'm used to shamers and rejection by now, par for the course !
Wish someone would make a film out of it, then we could afford to leave the damn house !!!
