Ha-wind-ii
Aloha from Waikiki! It's raining, and we've had 78 mph winds. Ed and I have had a total of 1 hour, 5 minutes of bathing suit time so far because the weather has been way too gross for lying on the beach. Instead, we've been doing a lot of shopping and eating, and as a result, will return from our trip a) broke, b) fat (well, I will, anyway), and c) untanned. Greg has been doing a lot of walking around and looking at random things. There isn't a whole lot to do here when it's raining and/or really windy. We've managed to go to the Polynesian Cultural Centre and Pearl Harbour, so those two big tourist things were crossed off our list, at least.
Tomorrow, we're renting a car and driving around the island. On schedule: Dole Plantation, fruit stands, a macadamia nut farm, and, hopefully, a beach or two.
I miss my doggie. I almost bought her a Hawaiian print dress, but decided that was crossing a line (especially since it was $30). She will likely get some pineapple dog treats and a doggie lei, though.
