Inauguration Randoms
I was eating cheerios during the swear in, and I almost choked when Obama forgot what to say.
One of my favourite parts of the coverage was the shot of Dubya's shit getting moved out of the White House.
Obama's speech was good...but not as good as I had hoped. No tears this time. I might be too sleepy to have enjoyed it, though. I'll watch it again in a minute (thanks, PVR).
I feel sad for Hillary.
Elizabeth Alexander (or whatever her name was) is a terrible reader. It's like she's never read aloud before. Eeesh.
In the last 6 hours, I read three Facebook status updates that were NOT about Obama. I don't have a problem with it, but they're all so dang similar. Greg's status update is currently "Greg is (trite facebook status about Obama)" which made me laugh out loud.
I always find it unsettling that Americans involve prayer in...well, everything...but before/during/after political stuff? That's just strange.
I'm not a fan of Michelle O's glittery yellow get-up. It could be worse, I guess. It's terribly unflattering. She should have considered wearing pants, or f*ck-me boots, like Jill can't-shut-her-g-d-mouth-on-Oprah Biden did.
I'm glad I got up to watch this. Wolf Blitzer is irritating.
Oooh...Dubya's getting on the helicopter now. Woop woop!
