I'm watching "The Break Up" right now, which I PVR'ed a couple of months ago. I'm about a third of the way through, and it's....awkward. I just feel uncomfortable watching it. Break ups are awkward in even the best of situations, and this is just...awful.

Has anyone else seen this? Does it get better?

Wow, I never saw this movie, but all the terrible reviews almost makes me want to see it. Is that weird?

We actually liked that movie, but in hindsight I don't recall much of anything about it other than their amazingly gorgeous apartment. (Yep, shallow.)

I actually really liked the movie because it felt so real to me. Not the parts where they're trying to get back at each other, but the quietly aching parts where you see their relationship unravelling due to just not communicating. It was the most real and aching depiction of a breakup that I felt I'd seen on film.

I hated it because it was so real. A bit too close to home, that's all. But yeah - I know what you mean. So aching. So miserable. So awful.

but I *hated* it.
