Weekend Update
Friday:
After work, I rushed home, picked up Cranium, a bottle of Sangria, and the dog and headed out for dinner with Denise, Javis, Frances, and Vince (who I met for the first time) at Ouisi Bistro. We shared mussels and aligator appies. I had ribs. Mmmm.
After dinner, we headed over to D's friends place where she's housesitting. Super awesome place. Greg joined us. We ate cake, played boys vs. girls Cranium, ate antipasto, drank coffee from the possessed coffee maker, didn't drink sangria (oops). Greg fell asleep on the couch, and I chatted with Denise and Vince until after 4 in the morning.
Saturday:
Woke up at 11:30 because we didn't go to bed until after 5. Ate leftover pizza for "brunch". Went to look at an open house nearby. Headed up to Bear Flynn. Went to Gallagher's for coffee and a shared lemon square. chilled out for a bit before heading to poker with the UVic crew. Lots of fun. didn't leave until nearly 2.
Sunday:
Woody's for breakfast and football watching. I left at about half-time to browse some fabric stores and Ikea. Purchased a few random things. Picked up Greg, came home. Had lofty goals of cooking congee and cleaning, but took nap instead. Defrosted some tomato sauce, added some olives, capers, chili sauce, and anchovy paste and ate it with spaghetti and parmesan. Make a batch of tomato sauce for Wednesday's dinner while Greg worked (from home). I'd managed to splatter tomato sauce all over the stove, counter, all the way to the fridge, so I cleaned the kitchen. Exciting stuff.
