I'm home today. Neck was a serious bitch this morning. I got out of bed to go pee at 5:30 this morning, and winced with pain. What the heck? anyhoo, my lack of mobility kept me home. I'm feeling a lot better now, much looser, but still pretty sore.
I have a lot of thank you cards left to write. I did most of Greg's family and most "important" (read: old people) ones, but I still have tons more to go. I really want to get them out to everyone, no matter how late it gets. I really think that this is certainly a "better late than never" type of situation. I hope most people know that we were away for 6 weeks. Oh well. I was hoping that I would get some done today, but the stooped-over posture required for writing is pretty painful right now.
Ed, Marv, Stacy and possibly my parents are coming over for dinner tonight. I don't know what to make. I might have Greg cook if my neck isn't up to it by then, but I really want to cook.
My wedding dress is lying in a heap on my sister's old bedroom floor. Any suggestions on what to do with it? I'm leaning towards having it cleaned and then selling it...but I haven't decided yet. My veil is in a rolled up ball in a bag in my closet. That's harder for me to part with - I LOVE my veil. I think i love my veil more than my dress. It's Cathedral length with crystals and beads all the way down the edges. It's effing gorgeous. It cost $250, which wasn't terribly expensive considering that I bought it at the dress store, and short, plain veils started at about $125. I'll try to find a picture and post it. (Edit: two
here) I know there's no real point to keeping a veil though, so I probably should try to sell it, too.
I've done a portion of a wedding recap, but it really seems silly to post it now. I'll probably finish it and back date it or something.
Our place is coming along quite nicely. We've been really great at getting rid of things, and there are still more things to go. Pretty awesome.
Safeway cupcakes, the new fancy ones, are okay. Just okay. I guess it's pretty good for $1.50.
I'm going to be happy when PLTC is over for Greg. Poor guy.
