soup, flight, chores, engagement (not mine)

I'm home!

Our last day in Paris was a little bit frantic, trying to find souvenirs that didn't seem to exist. We didn't end up buying much, other than food related items. We ate French onion soup at the place where I'd eaten it on our early Paris stop at the beginning of the honeymoon, and creme brulee. We saw Jen Gish at the airport in Paris - so funny! She got engaged while she was there.

Our flight came in around 9:45 last night, but we didn't get home until nearly 1AM. Of course, my time clock is all screwy, so I'm wide awake despite the short sleep and the early wake up.

Greg has his first PLTC class today, the poor bastard. I'm currently planning to do some of the following today (hopefully 3 or more): groceries (not really optional, since we have very little edible food in our house at the moment), clean the bathroom, do 15 loads of laundry, clean the kitchen, sort out the wedding gift avalanche, start thank you cards, upload honeymoon pictures. We'll see how this goes! I've already cleaned out the fridge from stuff that didn't get cleared out before we left or while my sister was checking our mail and tossed out some seriously nasty nasty tubers, so that's a start.

Speaking of my sister, Ed's engaged! We totally knew that Marv would propose on her birthday, but we hadn't heard anything while we were away. I figured that he had proposed, but she didn't want to tell me over email. I was totally right. More wedding action to come! wheeeeee!!!!!!!!

It's funny, in the last two months, several people on my facebook (and, er, in real life) have married, and I think 5 have become engaged. Whoa! I'm sure there are more to come in the near future.

I have sooooooooo much to write! It will likely be picture heavy, and maybe very boring, so feel free to ignore any honeymoon posts if you don't feel like reading them. They're for my own use anyway.

It's nice to breathe clean Vancouver air again :) Though, Miss Tess is cuddled up to me at the moment, farting up a storm - so I guess it's not that clean. sheesh.

Back to life!
