That normal people didn’t hide sweet wrappers in bedroom drawers.

You're not alone though, hon. I've been there, done that. Also have an unhealthy relationship with food. Was, at one point, well in excess of 18 stone and wearing a size 22. My weight loss ultimately was an enormous "fuck youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" to the people who said (behind my back) that I was too fat to do the thing I wanted to do and would never lose the weight to do it.

8 years on and I am still smug about it.

If it helps, I found that exercise rather than regulating food was the thing that made the huge difference for me. I did cut the snacking but could have a treat on a weekend; anything I wanted (often chocolate). We also instigated a "single chocolate after dinner" rule and bought really posh chocolates for it. I had chocolate every day but I could only have a second one if boyfriend had one too, which meant I had to tell him, which stopped the hiding.

Thank you honey, it made me smile to imagine your mental and not so mental screw you as you dropped all that weight just to prove them wrong.

will definitely need poked and prodded along :)
