Aegon--King Aegon, the Sixth of that name--had cut off the dyed blue ends of his hair by which he had disguised himself as the lowborn son of a Tyroshi woman.

It makes him seem very solemn and regal.

"Your seat shall be at Dragonstone, the place of your birth, and I shall grant your husband his pardon, restoring his lordship and extending his lands and holdings, as befits your high birth."

That is very generous of him, but he’s doing it for propriety’s sake - and for her dragons.

The entire thing about Drogon (and Dany) was sad, but also comforting in that there is a future for them all that is not filled with rage.

Jorah at once felt elation to see it twitch with the widening of her smile, and a heaviness that Tyrion, too often of late the only person capable of eliciting anything like merriment from her, would no longer be their constant companion.

Heh, yes, Tyrion is an interesting and entertaining companion - no impness involved :)

Still, grace, like ice, must crack under pressure, and while Dany could not burn she--or the mask--might. She was, after all, a woman with child, and Jorah prepared himself to pick up the pieces as they boarded the ship.

Very poetic.
And while I don’t want to think of Dany cracking, pregnancy does WEIRD things to people.

"A daughter," Jorah said, clapping the younger man on the shoulder. "May she be the mother of khalsand blessed among the dosh khaleen."

Awww. Jhogo’s reaction was adorable (in the end) :)

Dan Ares Havazhyol!"

I feel so slow. I didn’t realize it was a play on Dany’s name until I read on. *embarrassed*

"We…what is word? Someday Dan Ares Sea-born marry with Stallion Who Mounts the World?"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

growling at the boy when he howled at being taken from the wheel that he was blood of the dragon, not a bloody kraken; Dany would be less inclined to argue if her son was present

Haha, oh Jorah

The dragon blinked tolerantly, reminding Jorah of the hounds at home who bore his young cousins' rough play as they lazed before the fire in the great hall.

I was JUST about to say that they’re just like dogs with a child.

RHAEGO SAYING ‘RAWR’ WAS FRAKKING ADORABLE!!! ♥

"I don't know what it means. If it even means anything at all."

"Everything means something."

I agree with her, but focusing on everything will drive them both insane.

He followed her still.

Because he loved her still.

:) ♥

"You never aspired to power, and I mislike conquest."

Oh? She does?

the corner of his eye caught the dragons watching them intently, and had a fleeting thought that at least they didn't seem to regard his actions as a threat to their mother.

*cackles*

Her fingernails dug into his skin so deep that he thought he must bleed--blood of her blood--

Just that was sexy enough, even without the rest of it. *fans self*

Beautiful, beautiful ending.

It's actually a really obscure canon reference! Drogo calls her "Dan Ares wife" at one point in AGOT. I guess Daenerys is a difficult word for Dothraki to pronounce. ;) I thought it was cute so I put it in here.

Really, really pleased you liked the chapter. Of course, it's not quite the end.

I just really appreciate you reading this chapter from beginning to end and for all your lovely comments. ♥

True! I thought it sounded familiar as I figured it out ;)
It is cute!

Yes, I know. Will it ever /truly/ be? :P

You're welcome!!
And thanks again for letting me know I had missed it the other day.
