and, of course, the view of Dany's breast that was afforded to him when he looked up at her as she spoke.
*laughs* Oh, Jorah
"Why would I pay for public ravens when Xaro's birds are right here, for my free use?"
Jorah raised his eyebrows.
Dany's face paled as she at once understood.
Well, at least he didn’t have to explain aloud. I do believe they need to lay off the alcohol.
All he asked for was a spark. A spark from a dragon was enough to consume a man. Already he was afire from far less.
Very poetic choice of words!
No, what troubled him most about her behavior was how very Targaryen it was
While I would understand that with regards to where they are, that Dany is acting a true dragon shouldn’t bother him at all. I know he’s worried for her sanity, but I do hope he is aware that she has never portrayed any such behaviour, nor will she.
Crap, will she? Don’t do that to her, please!
Dany wasn't mad. She was just a girl who'd survived a terrible ( ... )

And of course, Jorah might not like other people looking at her boobies, but he gets a brush in there too. ;)

I'm one of those girls who is won over by impulsive presents, and I think that's probably one of the reasons I love Jorah, because he's the spoiling kind. Even when he comes to Dany's tent in ACOK to give her a peach, that makes me all swoony. (Although you know he was hoping she'd let him suck peach juice off her...fingers.)

I'm not sure about Jorah being this happy for long, though, more angst - mooooore (yes I'm a cruel mistress)!
Of course he is setting himself on a path to self-destruction by continuing to be dishonest with Daenerys (intercepting her letter to Illyrio for example... not okay!) :) But what would our Ser Jorah be without his self destructive tendencies?

I'm so very happy you're enjoying. I hope you continue to. :D

I really love the complexity of their situation and the way you describe it--with Jorah wanting to protect her from her Targaryenness, his hiding his role as an informant, the way his exile factors into all of it--it really makes for a delicious mix of intrigue and drama. As always, I look forward to seeing what you have planned next!

Shameless shipper indulgence, I know, but I couldn't resist since the opportunity was there, hehe. Jorah's restraint proves even stronger in the next chapter; I'm not sure it's totally IC, to be honest, but he's got to have some noble moments if he really wants Dany, doesn't he? Hehe
Thanks so much for finding time in your busy schedule to read, and especially for your thoughtful comments. I'm trying very hard to keep this complex instead of just a straight-up romance, because it can never be easy for these two, even if it's just the two of them. Really pleased you like how I'm weaving in Jorah's various issues. It's quite the tangled web, and so fun to write!
And you don't have long at all to wait, because the next chapter's up!
