You wrote travelling and drunk!Remus! Thank you so much - I love it! I'm not really sure where to start with telling you all the bits I loved, but I'm going to give it a shot!

Every time Remus said "I'm a father!" my grin got a little wider - suffice to say my face was hurting by the end! ;) His joy is evident from start to finish and he's absolutely adorable with it. It's too cute how he keeps referring to Teddy as brilliant, too; I know all fathers would be inclined to feel that way, but coming from Remus, it's all the sweeter.

Though the fic is unquestionably humour, I can really imagine Remus doing this, lol. He seemed so very much on top of the world in Shell Cottage, and this fic is the most wonderful extension of that -- it's so lovely to see and it makes me want to squeeze him tight for being so cute at the same time as laughing at him to laugh even more at his confusion.

I think you wrote the drunken progression very convincingly!! And I just can't stop using the word 'adorable' but he is an adorable drunk! Mixing up his words -- trying to say 'Metamorphmagus' and giving up, settling for 'he can change the colour of his hair' was so funny, as was him losing his inhibitions over The Werewolf Thing, which has a deeper meaning that is not lost in the funny.

Loved the special edition of Potterwatch, and everything that Remus said, lol, I can just imagine Tonks at home, listening and shaking her head while trying not to laugh too much.

The last scene feels very tranquil, in spite of Remus not quite sobering up. It must be wonderful for Tonks to see him so happy and over come with it all. I think one of my favourite lines is Remus asking if she's got any breasts out and about, lol.

I really haven't done this justice at all in this review - it's so hard to know where to start, but I'm going to be reading it again and again, so I will no doubt be randomly dropping quotes into AIM and LOLing.

Thank you so much again! A happy birthday fic, indeed! xx

I was tempted to write you a TTTW fic for your birthday, but my one idea didn't seem very birthdayish, and anyway I was more in an R/T mood, and when I sat down to mull over birthdayish R/T plots, this was the first bunny that popped into my mind. I thought you might be pleased with it, and I'm thrilled that you liked it so much! I really wanted it to be right for you, and to include all those crazy ideas we talked about, as well as a few surprises. (The Dursleys surprised me, lol.)

Speaking as someone who's never been drunk, I'm absolutely ecstatic that you think I've managed to write a convincing drunken progression! I wasn't sure what to do except resort to physical comedy and mixing up words! Seems like that was the right choice. One of the things I always loved most about the Shell Cottage scene was that Remus trips over the threshold and is almost Tonks-like through the scene. He needs to have babies more often. ;)

And of course I'm very happy you found Remus endearing; I have to think part of Tonks envies that she doesn't get to be out there with him, getting smashed and saying inane things on the public airwaves. But then again, she gets to nurse her baby, and she must be glad Remus is running around on his own because he's so happy, for once. ;)

Thank you so much, dear; I loved every second of writing this for you, and I can't ask for a better comment than you'll be reading it again. :D

xx
