Before I begin the epically lame tale of what went down today, I will say that my love of Dr. Sheldon Cooper was forever cemented last night when he revealed that he keeps a crossbow in his closet, in case of apocalypse. Win. (Crossbows are just awesome, ok?)
I could have used one today, so that I could hunt down the knave who hijacked my email account. They would be SO DEAD right now if I did. Or, you know, picking an arrow out of their ass. Maybe the second one.
The other day, I got this weird email asking me for my password, so I marked it as junk and deleted it. Well, apparently this was not enough, because my account was HIJACKED and whoever it was starting spamming left and right using my account. So, without telling me, the school shut down my email. Thanks for the heads up guys. It's not like I came home, couldn't log in no matter how many times I changed my password, remembered that email and then started to cry/panic like it was my job. Nope that didn't happen at all and I am not still sniffling. *holds up hubangous sarcasm sign*
I finally called IT support and the guy told me what had happened. He took my info and said he'd call me back once my new account made it through the approval queue. If he doesn't call back before I go to work I'm gonna leave my info on the table for whoever is home so they can have something to work with in case the tech guy needs anything.
The kicker is, I was having an EXCELLENT day, even if I have to go in to work tonight.
I took my last final, which went well, and now I'm free for the summer. That's cool.
Now I feel sort of sick/mad. Those people got my banner ID (what we use to log in at school. Not cool. It looks like all they did was spam, but you can BET I am going to be watching my bank account and/or changing my debit card if I have to.). I don't often say this, but I could go medieval on someone's ass right now. I assume that would involve a sword and lots of OO AH. That could alleviate a lot of the anger.
I've had so many computer viruses and other heinous things happen to my laptop lately that I'm just pretty sick of technology at this point. I seriously need my own Sheldon so I don't have to worry about stuff like this. 24/7 tech support baby.
On the up side, I finished the first chapter of "The Persuasion Parallel." Now I can work on it in earnest and finish up the last chapter of "My Fair Sheldon" (that was a FUN series to write. It really was). I'm gonna try and post that before I have to head to work in a bit.
No customer better try and mess with me tonight.
They do not want to face the wrath of disgruntled!pharmacy tech.
