Today was somewhat easier. I still didn't get much sleep last night, but at least the people across the way weren't making noise all night. I was scheduled 9-2 at work, but it was WAY dead so they let me go around 1:30 when Laurie got back from lunch. Once I got home I had some lunch and then we went down to Pawtucket for the Amigos da Terceira festa. It was really early for a festa, but I guess they were doing it because of Memorial Day. Anyway, the sopas were very good. They were made with the broth from the alcatra, which is really slow cooked beef that is a specialty from the island of Terceira. It's the most delicious slow cooked anything EVER. Seriously, BBQ can SUCK IT, it's that good! Of course after the soup they served alcatra. :) I love it!
After that, we decided we weren't ready to go home, so we went to Fall River for the Festa do Espirito Santo, because their malassadas are really good. We had to wait in line a while, but they were worth it. Definitely tasty. The rain came just as we got to the front of the line too! So, we had to book it out of there, but at least we got our sweet treats! Then we came home and just settled in. We watched some tv and now Mom is dozing in the chair while I putter around on here. I think tomorrow we're just doing our usual cook out, which should be nice. I hope we grill the sardines Mai bought, because that would make my day. I totally blame Stuart for my love of grilled sardines. I'll have to remember to thank him! :)
