A night at the Jacobs/McCall house

This is how a normal evening in my home goes:

I come home from work, usually entering the apartment tired and singing whatever the last song on my radio was in the car. I've usually got about 15 seconds to get in and put my stuff down before I get glomped and kissed. (Which is fine by me. ^_^)

Colin helps me get settled in, usually asking me how my day went (pretending, for the sake for conversation, like we haven't been IMing all day while I was at work. XP) and I ask him what he did today. During this time, I'm usually putting my bags away, slipping out of my heels, and dropping my jewelry back in the box where it belongs.

Then we go back and forth for about twenty minutes about what to have for dinner... ("What do you want?" "I don't know, you?" "No, I asked you." "And I asked you back!") then we actually get around to making dinner. While we are cooking, more idle chitchat, and most likely some light groping and lots of snuggles. I think we spend more time snuggling in the kitchen than any other room in our apartment. >.<

With dinner, we usually watch something. Either a DVD, (I've got a Netflix Queue that we like to pick from) or something online, usually a tv show that we're watching our way through. ^_^ (We've just finished Coupling, and now we're working on finishing up South Park and Torchwood.) Tonight, we had garlic chicken and rice-a-roni, while we watched Hook.

After dinner comes a little bit of cuddling and then clean up. After that, we usually migrate to the computers. Right now I'm on a Sims2 binge, while Colin's been playing either CounterStrike or Left For Dead (both games that have just as much RPG to them as Sims, but a great deal more gore involved. I think I'll pass >.<)

Tonight, I've decided to forego the SIms2 for a little while, in a vain attempt at actually getting back into the swing of writing. =/ Not sure how well that's going to work, and my brain's pretty fried from work, but I'm certainly going to take a whack at it! I'm trying to get more of my Kel story done so that as soon as Colin is done reading Lady_Knight he can tell me what he thinks of the story. ^.^ It's what I did with From the Lips of a Slytherin, and it's pretty much the only reason I actually got around to finishing it. =/ I think I'm going to have to do the same with Inseparable, since that one's a very long, epic novel that is pretty much stuck in my notebook. I'll actually get around to typing and editing it all up if someone is there to bug me about it all the time. :)

Well, I suppose getting on with the actual story writing would be a good thing, yeah? ^_^ I think I'm going to have to start putting my Kel story up here as well..... soon as I have a proper title.

Is anyone willing to read a fanfic about Tamora Pierce's Keladry of Mindelan and give me a suitable title? LOL

randomness galore!, real life happens
