Vacation
Yes, Life has been crazy. I have been working LONG hours the past few weeks to accomplish all the new paperwork required because my company has contracted out the the rehab department. So instead of working for the nursing home, I'll be working for a contract rehab. company.
The whole thing was done in a slightly sneaky way---no--make that real sneakty. However, it may not be all bad in the end. The company is larger than the corporation that owns our nusing homes, so there are some benefits from that. It may be that once we get a handle on the new software for documentation, that life will pretty much go on the way it has.
So I was delighted to go on a short vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama. It had been over 15 years since my last beach trip. Have I mentioned how magical the ocean seems to me, how it can excite me and calm me all at the same time. Have I ever told you that the first time I drank a margarita was at the beach long, long ago (yes, Jodi, before you were born). Have I ever told you that one of my greatest fantasies happened on a beach. Horse back riding along the beach is one of life's finest things!!!
Yes, I know that it doesn't look that extraordinary! But superimpose this on the week I'd had at work, and it's pretty amazing.
