Springing into Spring

Mar 20, 2010 08:30

Spring is arriving here.  My tree has lovely white flowers on it and I've planted some shrubs on the street side of my house.  Of course I'm told that everyone in Ms knows that there will be one more frost and that I've made a terrible mistake.  Well, I can cover them if it looks like It will get cold.

But planting plants in the ground has a different feel than having potted plants.  It has a sense of permanancy, like my living arrangements are more than temporary.

Today I will go to the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Jackson.  It's supposed to be a great parade with lots of fun and partying around.  And it should be a gorgeous day!

I got to have the pleasure of finding embarrassing childhood pictures of jmeadows  for an auction she's participating in to benefit a new bookstore opening.  I'll be interested to see which one she picks, if, in fact, she loses this auction.  Should be fun!

Hope everyone has a great day.  Blessed Ostara to those who celebrate this day.

Father/Mother God, thank You for friends, family, and our beautiful world.  Me we remember that they are all gifts from You.

Blessings and Peace.
Jill
