oh yay! so this update is ready to post on ron weasley's birthday. how wonderful.
so it's the epilogue for (what i hope will be 'part 1' of)
all that they had not lost ron gets lots of happiness in it, and gets to keep his hermione AND his harry so i think that's a pretty great pressie!
thanks to everyone who has read it (especially those who have reviewed! *hugs you*) and voted for it on the featured story of the month. (i love the pretty banner and it is on view at my profile at
the quidditch pitch) it was such a big step for me to write and post this, and all the encouragement has really meant a great deal.
*warning* rambling ahead. feel free to skip right on over!
(just in case i forget to do this later on, and since i won't ever win an academy award for anything, here's my speech!)
a while ago i sent some of the very rough first thoughts to
shocolate who saw some squee worthy moments, she had some suggestions (that have been mostly followed!) but i was still too nervous to do much with it.
then
leviathan0999 got whiff of it and that was that. he coaxed until i sent him the rough stuff and then nagged and cajoled (oh, and encouraged) me to do more with it, and has really been a tower of strength in the whole learning curve! whether i'm wibbling over the lack of quality in the writing, or dithering between word choices he's just an im away. (and he'll tell me what he thinks isn't working, too!) thanks L.
maple_mahoganyhas also been a great encouragement of late, when i've felt i need a fresh pair of eyes for something that L and i have been over a hundred times.
i started off with thevina (
thrihyrne ) as beta, which was a fantastic education. i am so glad i got the opportunity to work with her. when she was unable to continue with it,
brumeux77took up the slack and has been a gracious and approachable beta ever since. thanks to both of you.
if you're following along at table for three chapter 6 -
sunshine is up.
