alternate universes for fun and profit. or for fun, anyway.
1. Is the syxp comment fic scavenger hunt the official game of the Sam/Jack ship? If not it probably should be right now. I found some here in my journal this morning, and you should all go read it immediately! Go ahead. I'll wait here, don't worry.
2. Watched There but for the Grace of God last night while stuck in my kitchen doing an unreasonable amount of cooking. File under 'things that still make me squee like a girl' - well, one, the whole episode. And two, Catherine Langford. But three, in that bit near the end when Sam and Jack hug and Daniel's like 'Omg wut?' and Catherine is fairly smug in reply (she was totally instrumental in getting them together in that universe, I am convinced), Jack O'Neill actually says "I love you" to Sam Carter. Hand to God. It is nearly lost in the soundtrack and the background noise - I can only hear it with headphones in and the volume turned way the heck up (which is how I used I watch when my kids were small and tormenting me with too much Blue's Clues and how I know this to be true) - but it is there. I swear I am not crazy. All right, possibly I am crazy and/or hard of hearing - if so I blame the Blue's Clues - but if so, do not disillusion me.
3. I have more ridiculous amounts of cooking to do, so I think I may continue the alternate universes and timelines rewatch. Point of View would be next, except I've decided 1969 can count. Because time travel, yes? I don't think I will make it all the way to Continuum by Monday, but who knows!
