Because it cannot be said enough, my beta readers are the bestest. I am a whiny brat some days, but for some reason they put up with me anyway. Plus they are very, very smart. :)

And now I will talk about me a lot (so that I can come back to this next year and wonder what on earth I was thinking).

I know it really doesn't.
It really really really doesn't. It works in that story to have it be focused on just the bits of dialogue back and forth. And as for me, I think this fic has to be my favorite in 2009. Well, actually, it's tied between this and your NCIS fic.

I am still working on finishing one of these things that has a plot. Maybe this year.
I think this is excellent. We will work on this for sure. *huggles you*

Also I think it depends on what I'm writing, because I have at least once that I can think of re-read that fic without wanting to dump more prose all over it ... but when I made this list I couldn't. :)

I love The Fine Art of Diplomacy. Absolutely my fave fic of yours for 2009 although the Star Trek one comes close (although I'm still a little in shock that they actually went there with Spock and Uhura but at least it wasn't Kirk). Happy New Year!

Oh, thanks! That's very nice to hear. Especially the Trek one since that actually was a bit of a risk for me, since I'm not in that fandom at all, really - I'm glad that one worked for you. And I agree with you - I went into the movie without any spoilers at all (which took some contortion because almost everyone I knew saw it before me!) and I was totally surprised they went there!
