A Sam/Kawalksy Ripple Effect episode insert, of a sort, written for sg_rarepairings. I know, I'm breaking up my (and most of my flist's) OTP here, but go read it anyway! I do find this a compelling pairing, actually, but besides that, I love this because of the little details that make it about more than what's happening between two people. In a way it's really about the cost of serving in a war, and the emotional scars everyone at the SGC must wear, and I'm a complete sucker for that sort of stuff.
Warnings for not being my OTP and also for AU character death (but don't let either of those stop you).
Go read! Or go make virtual paper snowflakes to go with all the virtual snowflake cookies, because that's fun too.
