From the AP:

Federal authorities said a plot by a suspected Muslim terrorist cell to blow up John F. Kennedy International Airport, its fuel tanks and a jet fuel artery could have caused "unthinkable" devastation.

Oh man. Unthinkable devestatation? That sounds terrible. Tell me more.

I know, I read this article and had the same reaction as you. Concern at first, moving to amusement and eventually irritation. Thanks, FBI, for saving us from some weird crackpots with good imaginations. I'm SO GLAD the Patriot Act is in effect so that we can keep our streets safe from terrorists like these.

Thanks, man; knowing that I have a partner in aaaargh does lower my blood pressure a little. But then I saw today's CNN poll question:

Would the destruction of John F. Kennedy International Airport by terrorists have as much emotional impact as 9/11?

Is there a prize I'm unaware of for alarmist journalism? Possibly the Bullitzer?

Wow... I hope several interns died to bring us that CNN poll question.

I'm pleasantly imagining a world where every time I have to read a stupid news article, your voice starts providing snarky commentary (oh what you could do with some of the crap here). How do I love that world!
