Musicy things

So hiya LJ! I've been gone awhile, again. I was on vacation in the Poconos for the week of the 17th, which was nice. I got to see my family from Florida and escape silly dramatic friends for a week, which was lovely :) Well nothing particularly exciting's been happening, except I went to a show at a bar/lounge place near me to see my friend's band play last night, and it was awesome! They're called Anticipation, and they're pretty good. I love seeing them play, they have so much energy and I know how much they love what they're doing. I friends with the drummer Jon, but I'm starting to get to know the singer/guitarist Andrew a bit more as I go to more of their shows, which is cool, he's a nice guy. I know him from drama club, since he does booth stuff(and saved my ass during Beauty and the Beast by helping me get my mic on when I had to be on stage in like a minute!). They're all a year younger than me, but they're really talented and they'll only get better!

There were a few other really good bands last night, too. Seth and Zakk, who I met before the show when they were passing out business cards and stickers and signing people up for their e-mail list, were really good and sweet guys, too. Phone Calls From Home played, who I had heard a little bit of before through Jon, but dayummm they were amazing! They had so much energy and I really like their music! There were a few kinda bad bands(I avoided most of the opening band, but I went in just in time to hear their screamo shit and two other bands were not so nice to listen to), but overall a great show! During Anticipation's set there was a huge drunk guy, who first spilled some of his Coke bottle of booze on my foot and then kept bumping into me, ending up slapping my arm, which makes me think he was aiming for my ass, which was creepy and annoying, but his(much smaller) friend was trying to restrain him and after 2 other guys moved the drunk one he apologized for the asshole, which was nice. It was annoying, but I still really enjoyed the show!

anticipation, music, ramblings
