It's been a while...
I've been busy and/or exhausted, so I haven't been on LJ in two weeks! Shit that's a kind of long time! Well, here's a brief update:
I auditioned for my school's production of Beauty and the Beast last week, and I got a callback! I'm really excited. My singing is weaker than my acting, and the callback is just reading through some scenes, so I'm pretty confident. Mariel got a callback, too, so we've been practicing the packet of scenes the director gave us together. I realized that I can pull off a French accent while reading for Lumiere, and that made me ridiculously happy. Most of the male roles are being changed to female, so a girl will end up being Lumiere. I just wish I was physically able to pull off being a candlestick...short and chubby doesn't really work for Lumiere XD I'm just hoping for a part after 2 years of ensemble! Mariel and I watched the movie yesterday, which was awesome. Gah, so excited!!!
I got a solo in Jazz Choir, which was really awesome. We're singing "Disturbia" by Rihanna, and I got the chorus, which happens 3 times so it's like having 3 solos! I'm so happy that my voice isn't shit anymore! =]
It snowed like crazy here yesterday into this morning, and we have about a foot of snow. I'm stuck inside. My friends are having an epic snowball fight, but my mom won't let me go. I'm feeling a bit lazy and antisocial today,(I don't know why) though, so I'm kinda okay with it. I cleaned half my house this morning to help Mom prepare for Christmas(omg sooo soon!) while Chelsea sat around complaining about her hangover(don't get fucking drunk, then!) and her IBS and everything else, being useless. She dusted the living room-big fucking deal! Whatever, I don't mind helping my mom out,. She goes crazy every year to make Christmas work and the least I can do is clean a bit.
So how's everyone been?
ETA: So it looks like I'm going out after all. It'll be fun to be ridiculous and run around in the snow like a little kid again (Peter Pan complex like woah!). I hope I don't freeze!
