On movies, freshmen, and a sick sister

I saw Inglourious Basterds last night and OH MY GOD it was phenomenol. It was dramatic, hilarious, and enthralling. I highly recommend this movie. The acting was amazing- Brad Pitt was fucking hilarious, Eli Roth kicked ass, and Mélanie Laurent was perfect. Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa (an impossibly jolly Nazi) was both hilarious and extremely disturbing; such a fascinating character.  BJ Novak had about 6 lines, but  Office-obsessed Tom was so excited for them XD  There are about 3 seconds of film involving Goebbels and his French interpretor that made me crack up and freaked me the fuck out so much. This is really an amazing film; go see it, flist!

I had to help with freshman orientation today. My group of 8 kids were silent as the fucking grave. I don't know why whoever's in charge thought I'd be a good "peer counselor" since I'm fucking awkward and terrified about college and the main function of a peer counselor is to give the freshmen a tour of the school during orientation and meet with a group and a guidance counselor and talk about college. Oh well.

My sister is really sick. The health center at New Paltz sucks. She's been going back and forth for days and still doesn't know what's wrong. They're like "Oh, it could be mono, it could be this, it could be that" and meanwhile she just feels crappier and crappier. My parents are going to pick her up so they can bring her to out doctor tomorrow morning and just have her home to help her oit. My sister gets extremely worked up about stuff, and this is actually a big deal, so it's the best we can do for her now. They're leaving as soon as my dad gets home from work, so they'll probably get home around 2 a.m. I hope she's ok. I'm really worried and feel terrible.  I was supposed to have people over, but my mom would rather not have a house full of kids. My sister had to tell everyone that we can't have them over today, but most of them are like "oh, can we still hang out somwhere else?" Thanks for the fucking compassion, guys. Way to fucking be.
