I love pressure. I eat it for breakfast.
The Rock is one of the coolest movies. Like "Woah" cool. The plot is awesome and there's not one sappy moment like chick flick-y. The ending is sweet, but not a sappy thing. It's a manly sweet.
And Michael Biehn! Wooohooo! Except that he was only in it for a bit. :\ But I knew that was coming. You could just tell.
Military Leader: We need someone to infiltrate Alcatraz under heavy fire, enter through a maze of tunnels, run through fire and other grinding saw-like things, evade toxic gas that paralyzes your nervous system in 30 seconds, and save every single one of the 80 hostages.
Michael Biehn: I'll do it, sir!
Military Leader: Here's a gun and a snorkel. Go go go!
So they send the troops in. Yay tunnels. Sean Connery is awesome and Nicolas Cage is freaking out. Which is cool. Then crazy Ed Harris appears.
Crazy Ed Harris: HEY YOU'RE MICHAEL BIEHN. I DON'T TAKE KINDLY TO PEOPLE WHO WANT TO SAVE THE DAY.
Michael Biehn: I don't take kindly to people who want to kill innocent people.
Crazy Ed Harris: Drop your gun!
Michael Biehn: No!
Crazy Ed Harris: Yes!
Michael Biehn: No!
Crazy Ed Harris: Drop your gun, now!
Michael Biehn: No! I am too cool to drop my gun!
Crazy Ed Harris: That's too bad.
Me: *closes eyes* ;_;
And that's when I shut my eyes. But besides that, the movie was totally awesome and I will be going to buy it. Immediately.
I still have two more movies I rented to watch, both Harrison Ford, so my day is all filled up.
And I have a question. How would you pronounce this word: Megiddo. It's part of a movie title I want to rent but I can't pronounce it to ask for it. XD
Edit: Please say a prayer for my friend's mumsie. She has bone cancer and will be going for chemotherapy. So please keep her in your thoughts! :) <3
