I tried those for a while, didn't like the way they made me feel.

Ringing in the ears is a common side effect.

Well... mrsomewhere August 4 2005, 22:06:50 UTC
...it was sort of funny, the day i read this reply, i was walking down the street later on, and was suddenly afflicted with this horrible, sharp rining in my ears; that persisted for like 5 minutes or so. :P

Honestly, i don't really know -how- they make me feel, if at all yet. i sort of feel like there's something i would usually be unhappy about, but that i can't remember what it is or something. Like this sort of weird sneaking suspicion. Or emotional amnesia. For one sure thing, Wellbutrin does nothing to curb intense rage and homicidal fantasy, that's for sure.

Did you have any other experiences, positive or negative, while on it?

I can indentify with what you described. At times I felt a strange emotional numbness. Other times I felt agitated. I wouldn't say that I experienced anything positive from it, though I hope you do.. you seemed unhappy when I met you.

...That it would be rude, or too much, to ask who you are, by any chance?

^_^

If it's doing anything, i don't really know what it is. Although, to be honest, the doctor i got them from really didn't have a lot of information before he gave them to me to try...i mean, he really only had about 5 minutes of me babbling at him, and then he decides to whip out this sample bottle of Wellbutrin.

Which i gotta say, sort of distressed me a bit, but then again, i'm sort of desperate these days, and am willing to try anything, even if it may not be the most carefully considered avenue.

At any rate, i haven't taken it for a few days now, and really don't feel that much different. Which i find sort of weird and unnerving, but then again, i'm also glad i'm not suffering some deep, all pervasive depression as a result.

*shrugs*

There's got to be a way to trash my present persopnality and supplant it with another, more widely accepted one. :P

General practitioners are really quick to give out anti-depressants.

I was looking for your email in your user info,
why isn't anything listed! :)

Well then... mrsomewhere August 18 2005, 14:11:10 UTC
...i'll list it here for you then. It's mrsomewhere@hotmail.com. Big surprise, huh? ;)

Actually, the weird thing (or not so weird thing about it) is that he's a certified psychiatrist. For rerasons i understand, he's always very pressed for time...but i mean, being rushed and hurried when someone's asking you for a bit of head-shrink help seems sort of, well, ill advised in the best of cases. :P

Who knows.

Know of anything that can stop night terrors? They've been plaguing me for years and years, but this last year they've been terrible, to the point of interrupting my sleep all the time, so that i'm always worn out during the day. :P

i've gotta say, you've got me very, very curious. ;)
