SUMMER '06 ROAD TRIP (intro)
Tomorrow, June 29th, Matt Ables, Kyle Jones, and myself are officially starting our road trip. Actually I must admit, I cheated. I jumped up to Illinois to hang out with my family before the fun begins. But, Regardless, I wanted to write an introductory journal entry to clear some things up about how this is going to get broadcasted.
First off: trendy as this journal is, I feel like I really would like to share the activities and events that occur on this road trip with those who care. What better way than a live journal? I'll update when I can, but there are no guarantees I will update at all. Tough luck. I won't bother you with any e-mails other than the first one saying where to find this.
Second off: This road trip is for my personal pleasure. I'm really excited about what God can and will do as we tour his wonderfully made world, but I'm not going to try and pretend this trip is something that is is not: a holy pilgrimage or a ministry. I'm just going out west for fun. Sorry to disappoint.
Third: I'm not going to apologize anymore in this journal. The world doesn't revolve around you, as a matter of fact, as you read this journal the world revolves around me, and so I'll do and say what I feel like!

July 5-9 Climbing Mt. Shasta, in California
July 10-11 Crater Lake
July 12 Portland and Cannon Beach
July 13-14 Backpacking in Olympic
July 16-17 Seattle
July 18 Columbia river gorge, and then a night drive to Boise
July 19-20 Salt lake
July 21-24 Canyoneering in Zion national park
July 25-30 Rocky Mountain national park
