Man, it seems like just yesterday I was standing in the same street, watching the same fireworks show when we welcomed in 2005... Now its already 06. What a year! It had its goods and bads, and oh, some growth too.
Now it's 06 and I feel like I have a clean slate. Time to get my life back on track as soon as i figure out what I want to do with it! I could still be an engineer, yes... but the office kills me.
I have also seriously concidered being a teacher. Like highschool math or physics. When i get back to school i'm going to make some appointments and see what that would involve me doing. It sounds like i gotta do this program to get me certified to teach, and then i'm pretty good to go.
I was talking to my mom today about opening an outdoors store in Springfield, IL. They could use one, and i found the perfect location, right on this like 30 mile bike trail... I could sell outdoors stuff, rent bikes, and sell coffee and drinks too. That'd be fun, but it'd also be a lot of work. I know nothing about going into buisness for my self. Also, knowing how I am every time I go to REI or something, I'd spend myself out of buisness.
I'm still hoping to do the peace corps. I'm going to start filling out my application when I get back to school and hopefully have it ready to go by the summer. They say the application process takes about 1 year so that'd have me ready to go summer of 07'. I guess i'll Do that, pray about it, and leave it in Gods hands.
At least I have options! Anyhow, happy new year to everyone!
p.s., i got on
