So I was sitting in church today, and the worship team was doing this crazy buildup, and people were starting to stand up because the music was ever building and I was just sitting there angry. "Why does the band try to force emotion? Why do they have to use buildup to create 'energy' and make people feel like their worship experience is 'real'" Anyhow, amidst all that God just kind of came to me and said "Mike, here's a perfect picture of you in a lot of things. Here something beautiful is happening, people are worshiping with their whole hearts and the energy is there, and you Mike, you're sitting there being angry. Stand up you fool, and worship me." I think I do that in a lot of things. I find things that are popular, and just because everybody else is doing them, I rebel against them. Even if the thing itself is good. I guess that’s pretty dumb, at least God thinks so.
