Hey, sorry for lack of updates. So much is going for me to write, but I have no time to write it!
So on Friday I did audition for bands and thanks to Lloyd, I had the music I needed and I managed to earn fifth chair Wind Ensemble. And that's not even last chair! Heck yes! I found that out on Sunday.
On Friday night, we had a rock concert on campus. That was pretty sweet, though a ton of people went home. So I had to hang out with my new guy friends. I know... hanging out with guys... how awful, right? Anyway, after the concert (featuring Rachel Loy, Radiant, and Wideawake) we went and sat on the hammocks by the Service Center for like an hour and a half. I got back to my room around one and stayed up on the computer.
Saturday I did a whole lot of nothing. I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off for the first time with the boys, sat around in my room, went to Church's Chicken, watched the Cheetah Girls 2, watched Little Black Book with my friend Adelle, and then I went to sleep.
Sunday I pretty much woke up late, started cramming in the book for GEC which ended up being really a great book. Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search for Meaning." Everyone should read it, it's really good. I hung out with my friends a little as everyone was coming back and I had Mass at 8 which was cool because Channing and I sang so loud you could only hear us. I sing loud, Channing sings louder. It was funny, that girl is funny. The priest said that even though we lacked a cantor that day, we still had one anyway. I laughed because people always turned to look at us singing loudly.
So that's it. Band is really great, school is really great. I got an A- on my first paper!!! And that's the highest grade Dr. Beck gives. I was so proud of myself. Anyway, now I'm done. Bye!
P.S.- my first football game is this Saturday at noon. If you want to come hear the TLU pep band, let me know and I'll let you know how to get to the game. Can't promise it'll be the most amazing thing, but you can see the campus and stuff. I'll show you around! You can hear me try to sing the fight song and play it double-time. Not easy. But I gotta get it down by Saturday!
