I've been on a Harry Potter fic spree today, and thought I'd share the stories I really liked. They're all fairly short except for the one I noted.
The Unusual, Exceptional, and Statistically Remarkable Hermione Granger, Age 21 by
magnetic-pole - Hermione/Pansy, but really a gen story about Hermione's reliance on statistics to make even the most personal decisions.
Out of the Cupboard Under the Stairs, also by
magnetic-pole - Harry comes out to his friends, and their reactions are spot-on perfect. Especially Luna's.
Persistence of Memory by
rose_whispers - In the present, Monica Wilkin's can't quite figure out why she's unhappy with her perfect life. In the past, Susan Granger has high hopes for her daughter. I can see this one making mothers cry. For heaven's sake, it almost made me cry!
Along the Way by
edenfalling - Hermione, all grown up, struggles to balance her family life with her personal mandate to change the world.
Things You Shouldn’t Do at Christmas by
akissinacrisis - Harry and Ginny, several years post-DH, have broken up, but they can't quite seem to let go. Nfic. This is the longish one, about 10k words.
The Little Ones by
furiosity - Ginny, Molly, Luna, Neville save the Muggle-born first years from Carrow's reign of terror.
Summer Holidays by
penknife - Hermione, the summer following DH.
Bad News, also by by
penknife - sorry, can't spoil you on this one. Just go read it.
