We just went up to see what had gone on in the last several hours.... They had flipped the roof out of the way and exposed the basement. And you could see more of the damage to the lady next door's home. Her windows are all broken and there is a large hole into her kitchen.
The news reports indicate that they are fairly certain it was in fact copper thieves.
There were several folks busily stripping out valuable materials from the wreckage. And the folks doing this were not official types. A couple of women were busily folding up aluminum bits into easier to manage sizes and two guys stripping bits of the pile of refridgerators. Isn't that illegal? And dangerous, of course.
