What a wonderful holiday weekend!

Dec 26, 2006 11:40

Firstly, I want to say Happy Holidays and Best Wishes for you and all of your family and friends.  This weekend has been another example of the good times that life has to offer and how valuable friends and family are.

Thank you all for being in my life.

Thank you to those of you who invited us to take part in your Christmas day/evening celebrations.  We attempted to put on pants and brave the Minnesota chill to go join in the spirit, but my flesh is weak.  We have a sorta tradition of hanging out with each other and quietly enjoying a day together.   And my ankle really wanted to not hold my weight for a while.  :)  I hope you all had a lovely time.

Dee and Corwin's wedding was awesome!    I am so happy for them both.  I have been to two very different weddings in the last couple of months and I can say that both couples are off to a good start.  Love is a strange and beautiful thing.  It is nice to see it right there in front of me.

My favorite single part of the ceremony was what my husband called the children's crusade.  The absolutely beautiful little girls pelting the attendees with rose petals was heartbreakingly wonderful!  I really liked how the whole ceremony went.  I don't even have the words to capture how it felt.  I somehow managed not to cry and I got a couple of good laughs to let some of it out.

Thank you, Corwin and Dee for  allowing me to be a part of your union.  I love you both.

I am not going to prattle on about the celebration of Dee and Corwin's wedding.  My head still swims with the sensory input.  All I am going to say for now is:

Thank you, all of you who were in attendance for making Saturday such a great day!
