Hi ^^
Well well within a month it is time for this years Eurovision here in Europe WEEEE...and yes yes yes I have made this type of entry before I know...but bare with me because I will make it a tradition to write...so now you are warned...
This year 40 countries are represented, and that includes Australia this year ?! O_o...and what is Australia doing at an eurovision song contest?....Well it is something new, because Eurovision has been shown in Australia for the past 30 years they have been invited to compet with the rest of the contestans...though they are already in the finals together with last years winner (Austria) and the big 5 (Italy, France, United Kingdom, Spain and Germany)...Eurovision has talked about that from now on they will invite a country from "the outsite" as a guest to compet...I think it sounds very interessting...
Oh did I mention that this year Eurovision has their 60 year jubilee...That is really something I most say...It all startet back in 1955 after a war-torn Europe as a way to join the nation and compet in a friendly matter. The first show was broadcasted in 1956, with 7 country competing with 2 song each. In 1957 Denmark also joined the competetion, and each country was only allowed one song per country. Since then more and more countries has joined the Eurovision and it has been a huge TV event every year and many here in Denmark has grown up with it as a most see every year together as a family. In the past you had to sing in your native language, though up to 1965 no rules were on the matter, and everyone sang in native language. Then in 1973 the rules where large on the matter and it was allowed to sing in english, but then it was stated in 1977 that you had to sing on your native language again, but in 1999 to make it all fair for every country they changed it so you could choose to sing in every language to wanted (meaning either the native language or english), this mean that most of the songs today are sung in English, which is a bit sad, but that is how it is...
For many famous singers, Eurovision has been a huge career boom. If it haven't been for Eurovision we wouldn't have know ABBA today, as they won back in 1978 with "Waterloo". Also Celin Dion won in 1988 for Switzerland, and look were she is today ;) ...The country so far that has won most times are Ireland. They have won a total of 7 times, even 3 years in a row. Also the "King of Eurovision" as we call him, Mr. Johnny Logan is Irish, for winning 3 times. Denmark has only won the Eurovision 3 times in 1963, 2000 and 2013 which is pretty good ne. Though the country that has won with the highst score of points ever was Norway in 2009 with the awsome song "Fairytale"....and now I am just rambling lol...sorry...here is a little medley from the Jubilee show ;)

Well that was about the past, now lets take the present and look at the songs that are my favourit this year lol...
Well this year Denmark have given us Anti Social Media, and these young lads and their 60's pop/rock song "The Way you are" are actually really catchy and you get in a very happy jolly mood when listening to it, and you want to jump around dancing, so of course I think we have an awsome song this year.

Now why do I like this song well, there is just something about the music and the way it is built up I really like it, even though I think it will drown in all the ballads this year.
Belgium: Loïc Nottet - Rhythm Inside

At first I didn't like the song at all, but it has totally grown on me, and his voice is just special and I actually like it...
Hungary: Boggie - Wars for Nothing

Such a sweet little song from the heart...
Belarus: Uzari & Maimuna - Time

I really didn't want to like this song, because I think it is such a typical popsong...but well it is stuck in my head ahaa...
Norway: Mørland & Debrah Scarlett - A Monster like me

I love the PV and the dark side of this tale...I love their voices and his voice are awsome, and they are really good together. This is my 2nd fave.
Sweden: Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes

They say Sweden is the winner this year, and actually the song is pretty good and I love the little country like there is in the start and so on. But I don't think it will win.
Austria: The Makemakes - I am yours

What can I say...It is just a really good song. It has the right calm level I like. Not to much, not to little, just perfect.
United Kingdom: Electro Velvet - Still in love with you

Did someone say the Great Gatsby mixed with Balloo from the Jungle Book...This song is just damn happy and energetic and I am still in love with it...it is a damn good song...
Estonia: Elina Born & Stig Rästa - Goodbye to yesterday

Actually this year there is no songs I am absolutely mad about...but for a winner song I would like to see Estonia, because it is just so damn good...I really like his voice and it is like it is one of those songs that are more from a real song writer. (I actually don't like the official PV for this song and if it was the PV I have seen first I don't think I would have fallen in love with it, so here is their performance)
I am sorry for my loooong entry and Eurovision rambling...and sorry for spelling mistakes I didn't recheck lol...GoodNight ~chu
