Got a parking ticket the morning after picking up my car back in October. Registration sticker was seen not on the glass, but rather on the dash. $65. Took it to court today, the 30th day, and court offered to settle fo $43

hahaha you had almost as much fun as frank and i had when he got a parking ticket over by my old apartment and got towed. despite the fucking fine, it actually turned into a fun adventure-date.

I've always wondered, how do you know you've been towed and how do you find out where your car is?

well, his car wasn't there anymore, and he parked it exactly where he shouldn't have considering the time and date. i forget what main city number he called, but he called it, and they just gave him another one, so he called that, and they told us where to go.

Haha, always wondered this too. My first instinct would almost be that the car got stolen.

I should've taken a picture yesterday but I saw a sign taped to a street cleaning sign pole yesterday. It was bright light green, had the NO PARKING symbol on it (the P with the circle and slash through it), and had some generic information like "YOUR CAR WAS TOWED..." with the street's name and some other car information written onto the sign, so hopefully when the owner returned, he'd notice it?

Maybe that's a standard procedure here then... hmm...
