I can't even begin to understand how these could be questions to anyone. It's bizarre and twisted that people have blamed so many people for the acts of so few and people who were such a radical version of Islam. This is one of the reason I never see myself moving back to America. I'm always grateful for what it gave me and what it allowed me to be but it's embarrassing sometimes. No more embarrassing than the french outlaying the hijib but still how people can be so small minded so radically... just wrong. islam is given a bad wrap the world over and I can't understand why, one of the most beautiful things in the worth is the call to prayer. I adore being in any country where Islam figures prominently simply because find the call to prayer so soothing and respectful. I'm atheist but Islam is one of the few religions I can see the beauty in. In China there are two big religions far away from Beijing Buddhism in Tibet in the southwest and Islam in Xinjiang in the Northeast. Most people have never heard of Xinjiang or Uigers, who are far far far more persecuted than the Buddhist, who have been stripped of who they are, told they couldn't worship, watched their cities torn down and rebuilt in a different way and even had the internet taking away from them. But everyone knows about Tibet and I'd venture to guess it's only because they're Buddhist and not Muslims. People are people. Religion is religion anyone who wants to show respect should be allowed and anyone who lost their lives should be respected.
