i make potato soup with my mom in winter. it's like a regular potato chowder, from scratch obviously, but we make these little dumplings that go in it too. we make a chicken stock and add lots of onions and carrots and celery to it. there are obviously big chunks of potatoes in it too. we serve it with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon. it's awesome.

I'm on antibiotics now, took me almost 3 weeks to figure out I had an abcess - when my jaw swelled out and I was delirious it got obvious, finally. x.x
