my anniversary, kind of
i find it appropriate that my first day away from my husband was MayDay, May 1. so now i have been at my sisters for a month and been visited by my parents and am feeling a little stronger and have actually not cried for four days, in a row !!
i met a woman last night who told me that 7 years after leaving her husband, she was still in hiding from him. she is remarried and has a whole new life and she broke out in chills and started shaking when she talked of her ex and what he used to do to her. she said she even convinced the judge who heard her divorce case to not force her to be in the same room as him for their court date.
i felt very very lucky when i heard this story.
