Updates all around.
1) After taking 1 week off due to crazy scheduling issues and a couple of storms, I am back to couch to 5k and week 4 kicked my butt last night. Like really, 3 minutes, easy peesy, 90 second walk, 5 minute interval ok but felt like forever and at the end I had stitches but I finished, 150 second walk which felt like nowhere near enough before the next 3 minutes run which I just barely go through and was feeling dizzy and unwell but got through, then 90 second followed by final 5 minute run, much easier surprisingly, and when he pipped up on the podcast and said last minute I really picked up and booted it for that last stretch. It was hard but I felt proud when I was done. Let's hope it's a bit easier tommorow night when I repeat it all. Guess it's just about pushing through that comfort zone and buidling stamina. I also added weight training to my routine last night, I will be doing 3 circuits of arm exercises after my run 3x a week in order to strenghten my curently flabbalicious arms.
2) Dave did two short jobs this past week and made more money in 3 work day's then he does in an entire month on Workers Comp. That's after paying an assistant to help him out too. I can't wait til he can get back to work full time.
After meeting with a trustee we have decided that he will not be going bankrupt after all but will be instead be going the route of credit counselling. It will still ruin his credit rating, but not nearly as bad as bankruptcy and he feel's good in knowing he will be repaying his debt. Basically in 4 years he will be 100% debt free this way, he just pays off the premium, interest free. As it stands now he is just treading water, keeping his payments up but not paying down much at all due to all the interest. This feels like a huge relief and means that in 5 years when we are ready to sell the house and move up to a bigger one, he will be completly debt free and starting to rebuild his credit. In the meantime I have perfect credit so we can rely on me.
3) Dave has beaten the odd's again healthwise. The bone on his middle finger did not fuse, instead, it's growing as two seperate entities. e will thus have to have a bone graft done to reconnect it. This never happen's apparently. Bones are supposed to re-fuse when you pin them together like they did with him. Dave's bones are medical rebels. Dave is just like.."You don't understand...I am that guy, I beat all odd, always." Sad but true, it's like it runs in the family. His dad died of a stroke as an adverse reaction to a neurological medicine, there was a 1 in a million or so chance of that happening, so Dave's dad signed off thinking the risk was so slim. Ha! We got simmilar odd's with Evan's death, we are that family. This just means more sugery and pins and recovery time for Dave. Luckily he isen't letting that hold him down, he is doing almost everything he was pre accident just with two less usable fingers. That's my man and I love him.
Ok off to lunch. Ciao.
