Mish yawned as she glanced up at the clock for the hundredth time. She initially wanted to hit the sack a little earlier tonight but somehow there was a show on TV that made her stayed up. Now she was just yawning away wanting the time to just pass by quickly so she could tuck herself in bed as soon as possible. And she had so many plans for tomorrow, so many things she wanted to do. She just didn’t understand why the hell she was staying up if she didn’t want to.
Shivering; she hugged herself and did a little jump around the living room. She should’ve brought down the blanket but then Minwoo would be frozen. The thin t-shirt she was wearing along with the cotton pants really weren’t keeping her warm enough at this hour of the night.
Telling herself it was just another fifteen minutes more, she focused and tried to find the show she was watching to be interesting. She didn’t realize when Minwoo had already made his way downstairs and was standing behind her. Mish jumped up in fright when Minwoo suddenly slipped his arm around her waist; drawing her close to his body; warming her body and heart instantly. And he smelt fantastic as well. She felt so loved.
The sides of Mish’s lips curved upwards as she turned and slipped her arms around his waist; liking the hard muscle on his body. He had been working out lately after all and not just being a useless bum apart from a couch potato throughout the holidays he had been granted with.
“I couldn’t find you in bed.” Minwoo leaned his cheek against the top of her head; loving the feel of her soft body pressed against his own body as he hugged her close.
Mish could only laugh. If anyone saw them now it would be a funny sight. There were three sofas around them and yet they were standing watching TV at one in the morning. Then she realized she had totally missed Minwoo’s point.
“The TV provides more warmth than I do?” He pulled her to sit beside him as he fell heavily onto the three-seat sofa and pouted.
Mish ignored his babble and leaned her head against his chest; making herself comfortable as she change channels. Who cares if tonight was going to be a long night now?
It was going to be pure heaven for all she cared as Minwoo pulled the blanket over the both of them. She had always loved the smell of her blanket. Sniffing it, she grinned ecstatically. Warmed by the blanket and his body, Mish snuggled closer to him and attempted to keep her eyes open. She wanted to indulge in this sort of blissful warmth for a little while longer but her eyes; her brain; her body were all betraying her as she accidentally let a yawn escape.
Whatever, she decided. As long as Minwoo was with her, nothing else mattered. Minwoo blinked sleepily as Mish changed the channels without paying attention what was interesting. When she finally stopped changing, Minwoo’s eyes shot opened in surprise. It was some boring documentary and he couldn’t believe that she decided to watch that at three forty five in the morning. But when he saw her hand across his stomach and her calm rhythmic heartbeats thudding against his side, he could only smile at her silliness.
She was finally asleep.
