I've been married 2 weeks, 6 days, 5 hours, and 43 minutes.

So I'm waiting for my admirable, adorable, amazing, artistic genius of a husband to come home. :) To our home. That we've put together. With the help of all our wonderful friends.

I had the most wonderful wedding and honeymoon in the world. Our Creator is astounding. I feel so graced! One of the greatest local floods since the 70s shares its date with my wedding day. That's pretty neat.

It was a crazy day... Margaret was the last person to sleep next to me as a single woman. :) I cried really hard on Saturday afternoon. Friday night I tried to wax my lip and ripped skin. Everyone thought I smeared my lipstick. Our flowers never made it to the wedding. Our original ceremony spot was under water. Almost none of the guests were able to leave their residences.

Ahhh... but thankfully, I don't serve this world and all of its fading pleasures. At least, I'm learning not to. Despite image, and decoration, the perfect wedding picture, and guests, God has allowed me to follow and help the man I respect and admire and look up to the most. For the entirety of my existence here. That's pretty incredible.

I want to share two really awesome things I've read recently. I pray that they bless and encourage and strengthen whoever comes across this entry. :)

Psalm 96 (my new favorite psalm)
"Sing to the LORD a new song;
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him,
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples,
Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory of His name;
Bring an offering and come into His courts.
Worship the LORD in holy attire;
Tremble before Him, all the earth.
Say among the nations, 'The LORD reigns;
Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved;
He will judge the peoples with equity.'

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;
Let the sea roar, and all it contains;
Let the field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
Before the LORD, for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness." (NASB)

"We do not honor the refreshing, self-replenishing, pure water of a mountain spring by lugging buckets of water up the path to make our contributions from the ponds below. We honor the spring by feeling thirsty, getting down on our knees, and drinking with joy. Then we say, 'Ahhhh!' (that's worship)" - Dr. John Piper
