Will Hoge Holiday Weekend!
Well as we should all know by now today marks the very begining of the *Will Hoge Holiday Weekend* This simply means that it is the very best weekend of the entire summer which I have been waiting for since April. It is three days filled with my very favorite things in the entire world such as Scott (who is coming down for the day pre show), the beach, my Jilly Ann, and of course my Will Hoge. It has come to my attention in the anticipation that has been leading up to this fantabulous weekend that some people do not understand my (and Jill's) love for this man and I have been recieving some rather odd looks from people at work. And while I do not feel that I need to justify my feelings in any way I happened to be hanging around the will hoge website (www.willhoge.com) and his road journal said exactly what i have been trying to say to people for the past week and 1/2 (just another sign that we are in fact ment to be). The site describes what it means to be a fan and it is 100% correct. So for anyone who doesn't know (and those who do) what it means to really be a fan than this is for you compliments of the wonderful Will Hoge:
A 'Fan'....
*might bitch about the price of the ticket, but goes anyway.
*Wants every live Mp3 of the act she can find.
*Hates a bunch of other acts. Non-fans don't give a F@*# about other
acts.
*Shows/Tells others about the music and the band.
*Knows the name of every band member.
*Has read the dedication page and wonders who the people thanked are.
*Will go to the website every week incase the band has updated.
*Will pay every last $ to meet the act in person
*Does not travel with out the band's music.
*Believes that everybody would love the act's music if they could just
sit down and listen to it.
*Plays people the CD and explains it to them so they will understand
how great the act is.
*Has the next two albums even if they don't have hits.
*Has traveled at least 100 miles to see the act.
*Wants more music!
*Cringes when radio stations start playing songs they have been
listening to for months.
*When confronted with a date or a gig on the same night, the fan will
always choose the gig.
*Sings the acts songs in the bathroom. Both in the shower and in front
of the mirror.
*Cares if the act sells out. Ads are for the non-fan.
*Doesn't want to see the band hosting shows, even appearing live
talking on VH1 or MTV. For then the act is a slave to the grind.
*Wants to belive the act only services them and their Brethren!
*Wants to belive that if they ran into the act down a hall way at
school they would be everything you would think you be.
*Doesn't want his favorite act to hang out with actors (Unless they are
Johnny Depp, or someone else who takes their work seriously)
*Doesn't want their act to hang out at dance clubs
*Wants the live show to be longer!
*Doesn't care how long the album is as long as it's good!
*Doesn't want the act's inebriation to interfere with the live show.
*Doesn't want the band's shirts sold at hot topic!
*Would die and go to heaven if she could just get back stage!
*Doesn't want anybody listening to or going to see the act if they are
not a true believer
*Doesn't believe in people w/o talent (Ashley Simpson or Hilary Duff)
*Doesn't want to see the act in a fashion show but does want to read
interviews if they talk about history, inspiration, motivation, and the
romantic status of will hoge (<--- I added that, but it is true)
*Is Always looking for more acts to become a fan of, but it's not easy
to pass their test but once you do you are loyal and faithful to
the band!
