scrappiness lessons, part 2

Sep 10, 2007 18:53

So Friday night di ako mapakali (did i say that right?). I loved the photo I used for my previous LO (see previous entry). It's just that the whole effect was a mess. So I decided to challenge myself: could I try for a deliberately pared-down LO that simply highlighted the photo? Amazingly, once I limited myself to select elements, this came together pretty quickly--for myself, that is. I mean, the last one took days; this one, about three hours.

JOURNALING:
True now, as it was then: I choose you.
I also cut down the journaling to one line, which really causes the eye to just focus on the photo. Yes, I definitely like this one better. :) My next challenge to myself is a multiple-photo LO. :) I've also been given a HUGE scrapping project by a friend: no, I'm not getting paid for it (coz then, that would make me a pirate, seeing as most of my materials are freebies), but it IS almost 100 pages big. I'm scrambling to sketch some easy-to-add on pages so as it won't be too madugo. In the meantime, however, I've still a ton of pics to scrap.
