I realized I haven't updated in a horrendously long time. Not to say I haven't been online, but lately I've been finding less to say. Maybe it's my general mood these days. Mark will be leaving for the US on Friday (wah) and he'll be there for about two month. Yak. That's the longest we've ever been apart since we've known each other, so that's about in eight years!

So anyway, what's been going on? I haven't really scrapped because I'm still organizing all my scrapping materials (and after diddling about it for the longest time, finally bought an installer for Photoshop CS2 to "upgrade" from Photoshop 7). I felt that after blundering about in this program I'd finally gotten the hang of it, until I realized that there are far more tutorials for CS & CS2 than 7. Plus a lot more actions too.

Also, have been buying DVDs. There was two weeks where I was obsessed with Pride and Prejudice (I even found the 1940s Laurence Olivier version). Watched a healthy dose of rom-coms (Just Like Heaven, If Only--which, btw, is surprisingly nice, despite J Lov, The Lake House, etc).

Other things I'm currently loving:

Buffy season five, possibly my favorite of the entire series (though yeah, it's depress-er than most). Here she is with Dracula (yuk. Don't like him)

This new anime Romeo X Juliet by Gonzo, where Juliet masquerades as a boy who hides under the mask of a hero called the Red Whirlwind. The story is riveting, and perhaps the anime's weakest point (for me) would be their names themselves! (In Japanese, you hear Juliet say "Lo-mi-o" and Romeo say "Jyu-li-et-to") But the theme song is "You Lift Me Up," sung wonderfully in Japanese and then English within the series

Aaand this anime and manga (created by Kaoru Mori) called Victorian Romance Emma, about a maid who falls in love with a nobleman. God, of course if you put it that way it sounds like the cliche-est cliche that ever cliche-d, but I love the characters and the music and the art. The manga and anime were best known for their amazing attention to details in the Victorian era (I heard the first season of the anime went waaay over budget mainly due to the know-how fee of Victorian experts).

Okay, just realized I'm hungry. Will scrounge around for food now.
